Back-to-school on the brain {much too early, i must say} so what better theme for this week’s Throw-Back Thursday post! The list could go on and on but these were a few of my favs. Turns out schoolhouse chic is all the rage these days. Happy 1st day back.
Throw-Back’s: Clear Milk Carton from Uncommon Goods { vitamin D, for milk drinkers and sunshine lovers} / Chalkboard Globe { my son is so getting one of these, perfect for the little globe trotter to be } / Newhouse Books ABC Poster {vintage schoolhouse at it’s best} / Portenzo Composition Book iPad Case {i have long been a fan + user of the ever-so-simple composition book for note-taking, sketching and the likes. composition 2.0 here we go}.
As the school year comes to a tragic start once again for children across the US, I can’t help but smile as long-standing composition books continue to grace back-to-school shelves everywhere.
Once a pretty standard staple for school children, these black & white books with straight-lined paper are simply iconic. I actually think they are quite lovely, and generally stock up when the adorn the shelves this time of year, as their simple black spines make for a nice way to keep your notes & thoughts collected and stored together on an office shelve or in a worn laptop bag.
A perfect heirloom item that, despite it’s commonality today, has remained year after year a staple item to stock for journaling for years to come.
